Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits he is hugely impressed with countryman John Guidetti, who he feels lets his football do the talking for him.

Guidetti was firmly on the fringes at Manchester City until this summer, when Celtic swooped to snap him up on a season-long loan deal.

The striker has taken to life at Paradise like a duck to water, scoring regularly and causing Celtic boss Ronny Deila to publicly admit he wants the hitman permanently.

Ibrahimovic, who last year suggested that Guidetti needed to prove himself to warrant a senior Sweden spot, is pleased with the progress his countryman has made.

"He is leaving it to his feet to do the talking", Ibrahimovic told Fotbollskanalen.

"John is doing very well. And that means he has listened.

"He is playing again and has scored many goals. He shows what he can do and that's the way he should proceed. He let his feet speak for themselves.

"He's done great and that's why he's here with the national team."

And Ibrahimovic has more advice for Guidetti, who is hoping to turn out for Sweden in their Euro 2016 qualifier against Montenegro, a game the Paris Saint-Germain hitman may miss through injury.

"He just has to continue.

"It [being picked for the national team] has everything to do with how you perform for your club.

"This applies to everyone, not just John."
