Divock Origi has moved swiftly to rule out any chance of him joining Liverpool ahead of schedule in the January transfer window.

It had been suggested that Origi, who is due to join Liverpool next summer after completing a season-long loan at French side Lille, was keen to bring forward his switch to January.

Not so says the Belgian, who has reaffirmed his commitment to honouring the terms of his agreement with both Lille and Liverpool.

"Hi guys, I just wanted to clarify after today's press reports that I will continue to give my all & 100% for Lille over the coming months and I am very much looking forward to joining Liverpool from next season", Origi said via his Twitter account.

Extra emphasis has been placed on whether Liverpool can snap up Origi six months earlier than planned due to the struggles of their strike force.

Despite manager Brendan Rodgers spending in excess of £100m on new players over the summer, the Reds' attack has been plunged into disarray due to the absence of Daniel Sturridge through injury.

Liverpool have lost their last three games in all competitions.
