Manchester United have lodged their interest in Brazilian starlet Douglas Coutinho, it has been revealed.
The Red Devils have a strong scouting set-up and Coutinho has popped onto the radar at Old Trafford, with the English side now taking concrete action to put themselves in the mix for the 20-year-old.
Coutinho has impressed with Brazilian outfit Atletico Paranaense, scoring 18 goals in 38 appearances this term.
And the striker is of interest to Louis van Gaal's men.

Taciano Pimenta, Coutinho's agent, explained to parana-online.com: "I have received an enquiry from Manchester United.
"It is of course possible that they want to buy him, but we must see about things officially", he added.
Coutinho is a product of Cruzeiro's youth system and linked up with Atletico Paranaense in 2011.
