Denmark coach Morten Olsen has praised midfielder Christian Eriksen for his accomplished performance in the country's 3-1 win over Serbia in a Euro 2016 qualifier last night.

The Danes initially fell behind in Serbia to a fourth minute strike, but rallied with three goals in the second half to run out clear winners.

For Olsen, who publicly criticised Eriksen following Denmark's home defeat to Portugal last month, the Tottenham midfielder stepped up to the plate in Serbia.

"He gave the right answers", Olsen told Ekstra Bladet.

"Christian played a great game", he added.

Olsen was also delighted with Denmark's performance as a whole, feeling they dominated Serbia in their own backyard.

"It looked good and I think we played a really good game.

"We didn't start so well, but when you take away the first five minutes, we dominated large parts of the match."

Denmark now lead their qualifying group with seven points from four matches.
