Arsene Wenger has dubbed the majority of international football "a waste of time" after revealing he has snubbed approaches to take over as France boss.

The Arsenal manager has often been linked with taking over the reins of Les Bleus, but has continued to stay put at the Emirates Stadium.

And Wenger feels that besides the World Cup and the European Championship there is little to attract him to international management.

"I have had several opportunities to be coach of the France team", Wenger explained to beIN Sports.

"There are only two interesting things: The World Cup and the Euros.

"The rest is a bit of a waste of time", the Frenchman added.

Given Wenger's words there now appears to be little chance of him one day bossing the France side.
