Former Ajax and Anderlecht striker Jan Mulder believes that PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay is sure to soon be on the move because he is motivated by earning big money.

Depay was chased by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur over the summer, but eventually put pen to paper on a new contract with PSV.

Despite the development, PSV coach Phillip Cocu admitted recently that the Eindhoven club will struggle to keep hold of Depay for much longer.

And for Mulder, Depay simply will not be able to resist the riches on offer at bigger clubs.

"You know what I think? The ultimate objective and the dream of a player is not the Dutch national team, but the big money", Mulder told Helden Online.

"And they don't even have to apologise for that.

"I don't know how I would fare if I could have earned so much money. I would have been susceptible to that too I guess.

"If you have set yourself up for the rest of your life with just a signature, as Depay will soon, then you think that, even if subconsciously, I think."
