England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that Joe Hart will be rested for the nation’s upcoming friendly with Scotland tomorrow.

The Manchester City custodian, who guarded England’s goal in their 3-1 win over Slovenia in a 2016 European Championship qualifier on Saturday, will return to his club.

And Hodgson explained that he would like to see how one of the other two goalkeepers in his squad, namely Fraser Forster and Ben Foster, fare against the Scots at Celtic Park.

The manager further added that there will be changes in other departments as well for the Three Lions’ final game of the year.

"Joe Hart will be rested because I have still got the other two goalkeepers", Hodgson told the FA’s official site.

"They will come with us up to Scotland and one of those will play – Joe will go home.

"Obviously we have got players who I would like to see, so there is a potential for me to change things.

"Scotland is a tough game and we want to go up there with a big team.''

England, who are currently atop Group E with 12 points from four games, will next take on Lithuania in March 2015.
