Premier League outfit Manchester City have been linked with a move for Juventus right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner, with the player's contract with the Italian champions set to expire next year.

The 30-year-old, who joined Juventus in 2011, has won three successive Serie A titles with the Bianconeri over the last three years.




However his contract, which has not yet been renewed, has alerted many well known clubs including Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, who have been keenly monitoring the situation.

 


The Premier League champions are the latest on the long list expected to be interested in securing the services of the player, according to Sport Mediaset.

The Sky Blues have in fact been interested in Lichtsteiner since his stay with Lazio between 2008 and 2011 and might finally have the chance to secure the services of the 30-year-old next summer.

During his three-year stay with Juventus, the Swiss international has managed an overall 125 matches for Le Zebre, having scored eleven goals and has also provided his team-mates with 19 assists.

He has also earned 70 caps for Switzerland, scoring five goals.
