Carlos Tevez’s agent has said that contract renewal talks for his client with Juventus will take place at an appropriate time.

Tevez has been in scintillating form at Juventus this season and is the joint top scorer in Serie A with Napoli’s Jose Callejon, on eight goals.

The Argentine’s form this term also earned him a recall in the national team squad after a three-year absence for the just concluded friendlies against Croatia and Portugal.

Juventus are believed to be keen on renewing Tevez’s contract, which is set to expire in 2016, and are ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible.

But the player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is keen to bide his time and is in no hurry to renew his client’s contract with the Bianconeri.

“Carlos has another year-and-a-half left on his contract with Juventus, so the best thing is to handle the situation carefully”, Tevez’s agent told Le 10 Sport.

“When the time comes to sit down at a table, then we will talk with [Juventus CEO Giuseppe] Marotta about the possibility of an extension.”
