Barcelona icon Xavi admits he is closing in on the end of his playing career, however he is looking to continue in football as a coach.

The midfielder is under contract with Barcelona until 2016, but appears increasingly unlikely to play on after that date.

He is already making plans for the future, with a hint he may look to coach in England as he is learning English.

"I don't have much time left to play, I am 34 and will turn 35 in January. I want to enjoy this stage [of my career] and get as much from it [as possible]; everyone tells me that it's the best one", Xavi told TV3.
