Manchester United and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Adil Rami's situation at AC Milan, ahead of a potential January move for the centre-back.

Rami joined the Rossoneri on a permanent basis from Valencia in the summer, penning a contract running until 2017 at the San Siro.

However, AC Milan look likely to come under pressure to sell the France international in January, with a number of clubs now looking towards Rami to solve their defensive problems.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, both Manchester United and Manchester City are at the front of the queue for Rami and ready to pounce if AC Milan are willing to sell.

Rami has featured in eight of AC Milan's eleven Serie A games this term, even clocking up a single goal and a single assist.

Rami, who has ambitions of breaking back into the France squad ahead of Euro 2016, may look favourably upon a move which places him in the spotlight.
