Barcelona defender Marc Bartra believes Lionel Messi is happy at the club and is not looking to quit the Spanish outfit.

The Argentina international, who has been at Barcelona since a youngster, earlier in the week hinted at the possibility of him leaving the Camp Nou in the future.

But Bartra is of the opinion that Messi “feels right at home” at Barcelona and will spend his entire career with the Catalan giants.

The Spaniard, who admitted he cannot imagine Barcelona minus Messi, further admitted that the 27-year-old has helped the club to reach the top.

"He's been in the first team for many years, he feels right at home”, Bartra told Spanish daily Marca.

“It's good for the world's best player to feel appreciated.

"I can't imagine a Barca without Messi.

"The most important thing is that he has always said he wants to be here for his whole career and that's what I keep in mind.

“He has given everything for the club since he was young and thanks to him Barca has reached the top.”

Messi, whose present contract with Barcelona runs until 2018, has thus far amassed 440 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 365 goals.
