Mateo Kovacic has revealed that Inter Milan have a much more attacking approach under the stewardship of Roberto Mancini.

Mancini replaced the sacked Walter Mazzarri last week after a string of poor results that saw Inter drop to ninth in the league table.

The former Manchester City boss has a proven record in Italy and won three league titles during his previous stint at Inter.

Mancini’s memo for the season is to guide the Nerazzurri back into next term’s Champions League and Kovacic said that the new manager has already made some sweeping changes to the club’s playing style.

The Inter schemer revealed that they are playing a more attacking brand of football and is confident of a positive result against AC Milan in the derby on Sunday.

“Now we are more attacking”, Kovacic told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We are moving the ball faster and playing more attacking passes.

“Right now we are only thinking about winning and I believe we can win the derby 2-0.”

The derby between the two Milan sides is known as Derby della Madonnina and the first match between the two clubs was played in October, 1908.
