Liverpool are willing to pay Lille €6m in order to bring Divock Origi to Anfield in January, according to French outlet Maxifoot.

The Reds signed Origi for €12m from Lille in the summer, but the striker was immediately sent back to the French outfit on a season-long loan deal as a part of the contract.

But with Daniel Sturridge suffering a fresh injury and the trio of Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini failing to deliver the goods in front of goal, Liverpool are looking to bring the Belgian international to Merseyside early.

Origi is also open to the idea, provided both clubs agree to it.

The 19-year-old has scored four goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for Lille this season.
