Neil Redfearn feels some players must move on from Leeds United for their own benefit, as he seeks to address the size of the club's squad.

The Leeds boss is aiming to bring in new faces over the coming months, especially believing there is a genuine lack of experience within the ranks at Elland Road.

But Redfearn accepts that Leeds have a large squad at present and thinks several players will have to seek their fortune elsewhere.

"We've got a big squad, but it not neccesarily the case that all those players will be used", he told a press conference.

"We've got some players here who need to move on, they know that….for their benefit and the club's benefit.

"We don't have to [offload fringe players to bring new players in], but just for the group I think it would be a lot healthier. I think it would be better for the players concerned and I think it would be better for the group."

Leeds were very active in the summer transfer window, drafting in a number of players from owner Massimo Cellino's native Italy.
