Neil Redfearn has vowed not to let his Leeds United players feel down in the dumps about losing away at Blackburn Rovers today.

Leeds took the lead through Souleymane Doukara in the 33rd minute at Ewood Park, but then saw a defensive mix-up, between goalkeeper Marco Silvestri and defender Liam Cooper, combined with a controversial penalty decision, condemn them to a 2-1 defeat.

Redfearn felt his Leeds team passed Blackburn off the pitch and admitted if they had drawn he would have been disappointed, meaning defeat is all the bitterer.

But Redfearn, whose side are next in action at home against Derby County, has vowed not to allow his players to feel down.

"I don't let them get down, I don't give them chance", he told LUTV.

"They're not allowed to get down. At the end of the day they're in a privileged position.

"They've got to pick themselves up and play good football against Derby, and get a result. That's what we've got to do", Redfearn added.

Leeds now sit 16th in the Championship table, while Blackburn are sixth and in a playoff spot.
