Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer has a very different view of today's match between Leeds United and his side to Whites manager Neil Redfearn.

Redfearn, reflecting upon Leeds' 2-1 defeat at Ewood Park, was clear his side deserved victory and also blasted the referee for awarding a penalty to Rovers, which Jordan Rhodes converted. Indeed, Redfearn feels only minor errors cost his side the three points.

"They should be nowhere near this game because they were passed out of it", Redfearn said of Blackburn, adding: "We were the better side. I think if we'd have come away with a point I'd have been gutted."

But that is not Bowyer's view, with the Rovers boss feeling it was actually his side who dominated proceedings in the Championship clash.

"The effort from our players was unbelievable", he told his club's site.

"I thought we were excellent, second half especially, I thought we totally dominated the game.

"The one chance Leeds had in the second half was when they hit the post, apart from that I can't remember them getting out of their half. I thought we were that dominant.

"We kept probing away, we kept working it and switching the play, and it was just a case of keep going and that is what we did", Bowyer added.

And he also had special words of praise for his defence, remarking: "The back four, Corry Evans, outstanding. The collective effort today has been nothing short of magnificent."

The final game statistics saw Leeds edge possession, 53% to 47%, but Blackburn dominate shots on goal, registering 20 to Leeds' ten.
