Arsenal's second largest shareholder Alisher Usmanov believes Arsene Wenger is not beyond making mistakes.

Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of a depleted Manchester United side on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

It was the Gunners’ second defeat in a row and sees them languishing in eighth in the league table on 17 points, a whopping 15 off leaders Chelsea.

A section of the Arsenal fans are voicing their concerns against Wenger’s management this season and the club’s failure to land a credible title challenge after the high of winning the FA Cup last term.

Usmanov admits that there is no doubt that the Frenchman is one of the greatest managers of his generation, but that doesn’t make Wenger infallible, he stresses.
