Lukas Podolski says he is losing the fun from playing football by being benched at Arsenal.

The forward has been relegated to bench warming duties by Arsene Wenger at the Emirates Stadium this term and has only eight appearances all season for the Gunners to his name.

Podolski, who is under contract with Arsenal until 2016, is now looking to hold talks with Wenger before the transfer window opens in January.

"The fun of the game is being taken out of me at Arsenal", the German told Kicker.

"I'm a true-blood footballer and want to play", Podolski continued.

"Now I have even noticed that I'm missing something if I'm not playing regularly."

Germany coach Joachim Low has warned Podolski that his international chances could be hurt if he does not play regular first team football at club level.

He has been regularly linked with both Galatasaray and Juventus.
