Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes it is approaching the time for Arsene Wenger to depart the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners slipped to defeat at home to Manchester United on Saturday and have won just four of their 12 Premier League games so far this term.

Wenger has also been criticised for his transfer market activities in the summer, when he sold centre-back Thomas Vermaelen to Barcelona without signing a replacement.

Wright feels it is becoming increasingly difficult to defend the Frenchman and suggested he may soon need to be shown the door.

"I can't see Arsenal getting in the top four at the moment", the former striker told the BBC.

"It's very frustrating. It's getting to that time now [when he should go]", he added.

Some Arsenal fans booed the side following their defeat to Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will seek to get back to winning ways later this week when they host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
