Juan Mata has stressed that the key now for Manchester United is to build on their current form and continue their winning streak.

Manchester United gave a resilient performance against Arsenal on Saturday, which resulted in the Red Devils winning 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Three points against Arsenal helped the club to climb up to fourth in the league table on 19 points, a position they would ideally like to maintain or better at the end of the season.

And Mata feels that the Red Devils need to build on their new fond surge of momentum and stack up a run of results in the next few weeks to consolidate their position in the league.

"We are fourth now and we want to keep climbing the table”, the Spaniard wrote on his blog.

“After two victories in a row, all we want now is to maintain this good streak. It’s not going to be easy against Hull and Stoke, but we hope to play two good games and win.”

Luke Shaw hobbled off the pitch with an ankle injury in the first half, adding to the woeful injury situation at the club but Mata feels they need to maintain their run of form regardless of the injury problems at Old Trafford.

“The bad news was Luke Shaw’s injury and, unfortunately, we are suffering too many of them so far this season, but the most important thing is to keep winning games while we wait for the team-mates to be fully fit."
