Manchester United target Kevin Strootman might make his Champions League debut for Roma on Tuesday against CSKA Moscow.

The Dutchman suffered a cruciate ligament injury earlier this year which kept him out of action at the World Cup this summer and he also missed the start to the new season.

He made his comeback to the Roma first team earlier this month against Torino and played the last few minutes of the game as a substitute.

The 24-year-old is slated to make his Champions League debut for Roma this Tuesday against CSKA Moscow at the Arena Khimki.

Roma will be looking for a win to consolidate their position in Group E and take another step towards the last 16 of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will keep a close eye on the Dutch midfielder’s recovery from the injury as he ponders a move for Strootman.
