Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has expressed his reluctance to compare the Pensioners with other legendary sides in Europe because they have not won anything yet this season.

The Blues are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 32 points from 12 matches and are still to lose a match this season.

The former Arsenal man, who joined from Barcelona this summer, believes that it is too soon though to mark them down as a legendary side as there is still so much of the season to go.

"I don’t compare us with any other big sides because we haven’t won anything, this is just the beginning", Fabregas told his club's official site.

"Everyone is talking well about Chelsea now, how great we are and then you lose two games they will talk about how bad we are.

"We have only played a few games really [this season]. It is a long way to go and we still have to do better than that.

"We have been long enough in football not to fall into this trap and to just keep going the way we want to achieve things.

“It’s an important victory and we are all happy. We worked hard, we deserved the win and we all enjoyed the result.”

Jose Mourinho's side, who eased to a win over West Brom at the weekend, will take on German outfit Schalke next in the Champions League on Tuesday.
