Liverpool custodian Simon Mignolet has called on his side to return to winning ways by taking a collective approach.

The Reds slumped to their fourth straight loss at the weekend, following their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.

The result at Selhurst Park made Liverpool slide down the Premier League table to 12th spot with just 14 points from 12 games, 18 adrift of leaders Chelsea.

The Merseyside giants are also struggling in the Champions League, having lost three of their four group stage matches thus far.

And Mignolet, who wants Liverpool to stick together as a team, insisted that his side are trying their best to turn around their campaign.

"We're doing everything we can to make sure we improve", he explained to the club’s official site.

"We all have to make sure we do our best and the performances will come.

"We have to make sure as a team we perform the best way we can and we will become stronger if we all stick together.

“If we want to get back to winning ways we need to do it collectively as a team, not as individuals.

"We need to create goals together and we need to defend as a unit. We're all in this together.

“We have to work hard and not think about yourself; it's about the team, it's about the club, it's about the supporters."

Liverpool, who are currently third in Group B of the Champions League with just three points from four games, will next take on Bulgarian club Ludogorets in an away fixture tomorrow.
