Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has urged his side to defend more aggressively as a team, ahead of their Champions League meeting with Ludogorets tomorrow.

The Reds, who lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace at the weekend, have conceded 18 goals in 12 Premier League matches this season.

The Merseyside giants have been leaking goals in the Champions League as well, having conceded six goals in four games without keeping a single clean sheet.

And Rodgers, whose side must beat Ludogorets to have any chance of progressing to the next round of the Champions League, has called on his side to put in a better defensive performance against the Bulgarian outfit.

"We need to be more tenacious, more aggressive and have a greater capacity to defend better as a team", the Northern Irishman told the club’s official site.
