Chelsea forward Eden Hazard believes that his team cannot make the mistakes from the previous meeting when they take on German outfit Schalke tonight.

The last time the two teams met, the match ended in a 1-1 draw, allowing the German side to come away with a vital point against Jose Mourinho's side.

Hazard, who laid on the ball for team-mate Cesc Fabregas to score Chelsea's opener, insists that his team were unlucky to have missed out on all three points in that match and they need to rectify their mistakes this time around.

He also rues the missed chances in the match that he believes cost them the chance to win 3-0 at Stamford Bridge.

"We created a lot of chances in that game but we didn’t take them, and obviously the most important thing in football is to take your chances when you have them", Hazard told his club's official site.

"That match could have ended 3-0 but it finished 1-1.

"In the Champions League you know you can’t make too many mistakes and you have to take advantage of being on top."

Drawing reference from their last season's performance against the same opponents, with the Pensioners' winning 3-0 on both occasions, Hazard added that it would be great to have similar kind of result tonight, which would also allow them to finish at the top of Group G.

"We want to do what we did last season.

"Last season we did very well away against Schalke and if we can get a similar result it will be good for us because we want to finish top of the group."
