Ryan Giggs has stressed that Manchester United are still trying to play attacking football despite the club’s extensive injury list, which he accepts is hampering their consistency.

The Red Devils, consisting of a patched up defence, managed to register a hard fought 2-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday, despite suffering another injury in the form of Luke Shaw during the match.

Two back-to-back wins against Crystal Palace and the Gunners saw the club climb up to fourth in the league table on 19 points, a position that they will hope to maintain and consolidate until the end of the season.

But the injury list at Manchester United is a huge cause of concern for Louis van Gaal as the likes of Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Rafael, Phil Jones and Jonny Evans, Daley Blind are still sidelined.

And the Manchester United assistant manager admits that the injuries are not helping the club in their quest to find much needed consistency.

Radamel Falcao is back in training to ease some of the concerns in the attacking department, especially with the poor run of form of Robin van Persie.
