Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has eased injury concerns around Raheem Sterling, who was forced off towards the end of his side's 2-2 draw with Ludogorets this evening.

The Reds were leading the Champions League encounter in Bulgaria 2-1 until conceding in the 88th minute to throw victory away.

Rodgers was instantly asked about Sterling post match, with the winger having looked threatening.

And he insisted that there was nothing too serious behind Sterling's withdrawal.

"He had a sore tummy", Rodgers told Sky Sports.

"He was ready to come off and then he had the chance where he nearly scored.

"He was buckled over in pain for about six minutes and needed to come off."

Sterling looks likely to be available for Liverpool against Stoke City this weekend.
