Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has explained that he is hopeful about featuring in his side’s crucial Champions League fixture against Ludogorets tonight.

The 24-year-old picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with England earlier in the month, and hence missed his side’s 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

However, Henderson revealed that he is feeling better as he hopes to play some part against the Bulgarian side at the Vasil Levski Stadium.

"I'm feeling better; I have trained”, he told the club’s official site.

“Hopefully I can come back for the game."

Henderson further explained that Liverpool’s fixture with Ludogorets, who narrowly lost 2-1 at Anfield in the corresponding fixture in September, will be a test for his side’s character.

The Reds presently find themselves third in Group B with three points from four games, following three straight losses in the competition.

"Every game is important, especially at the moment”, he continued.

“It's a massive game for us; it will test our character because they are a good side.

"Ludogorets took it to the last minute at Anfield, so I'm sure it will be difficult going there.

“But it's a good game for us to go there and show what we're about, put in a good performance and hopefully get three points.”
