Manchester United are in negotiations with Belgian outfit KAA Gent regarding a partnership that would allow the Red Devils to loan out young players in need of a work permit to Belgium.

Manchester United are keen to infiltrate the South American market and attract young talented players from that part of the world to Old Trafford.

But the issue the club face is that it is difficult for a young, non-EU footballer to acquire a work permit in England, meaning the majority of the South America talents tend to join clubs in Spain and Portugal, where the visa rules are less stringent.

Therefore, Manchester United are negotiating a deal with Gent that will allow them to sign young South American footballers and loan them out to the Belgian outfit for further development, according to Belgium outlet HLN.

It would give the Red Devils an edge over their competitors as the partnership would allow them to loan players out not only to get a work permit but vital first team experience in a European league.
