Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini wants his side to maintain their focus, following their 3-2 win over Bayern Munich last night.

Sergio Aguero’s hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium helped the Citizens to register their first Champions League win of the season, which helped them to move up to third spot in Group E with five points from as many games, level on points with Roma and CSKA Moscow.

The English champions now have to defeat Roma in their final group stage game next month and hope for CSKA Moscow to drop points against Bayern Munich to progress to the next round.

And Pellegrini called on his side to do their “duty” by claiming the full three points against the Italian outfit.

“We have to do our duty, it is important in these two games, we have won the first one, now we have to try and beat Roma away, and we also depend on what happens between Bayern and CSKA”, he explained to the club’s official site.

“But it is important that we do our duty and we see what happens in the other game.”

Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Roma in the corresponding fixture at the Etihad Stadium earlier in the season.
