Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook believes his side are likely to beat Championship leaders Derby County at the weekend if they put in a shift.

The Whites slipped to a 2-1 defeat away at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, but were pleased with what they saw as a commanding performance at Ewood Park.

Bouncing back though will be less than easy as their next opponents are Steve McClaren's Derby, who sit top of the table.

But Cook is oozing confidence about his side's chances of taking all three points.

"In this league anything can happen really. It doesn't really matter where you are in the table, each team are going to be good", Cook explained to LUTV, speaking about the Derby clash.

"They've all got their weaknesses, so we can try to exploit that.

"We'll probably get the win if we try hard", the young midfielder added.

Derby have won their last three Championship games, putting Huddersfield, Wolves and Watford to the sword.

McClaren's side are 15 points ahead of Leeds in the Championship standings.
