Cesc Fabregas admits that Sergio Ramos’ comments questioning his commitment towards Spain annoyed him.

The Chelsea midfielder pulled out of the Spain squad during the international break due to a hamstring injury, though he played in the Blues’ previous fixture against Liverpool.

This led to Ramos accusing the former Barcelona star of showing more commitment towards his club side than his national team.

And Fabregas has reacted sharply to his Spain colleague’s remarks and said that he is annoyed that his commitment towards his national team has been questioned.

The Chelsea star confirmed that he has made his opinion clear to the Real Madrid defender and all the differences between them have been resolved amicably.

"Yes, I felt offended, and told Sergio how I felt. We eventually spoke on the phone and all is fine”, Fabregas was told Radio Cope.

“It really irked me that my level of commitment was doubted.

"I’ve played many times and been involved in call-ups without playing.

"I’ve played 94 games for Spain over the past nine years and have always shown up…always and always in good faith.”
