Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has suggested that Noel Hunt has no future at Elland Road after today loaning the striker to Ipswich Town.

Hunt, who has been frozen out at Leeds this season, has headed to Ipswich on an emergency loan until 3rd January.

However, while Redfearn has only good words to say about Hunt's attitude at Elland Road, he has suggested the striker would do well to move on for good.

"I think to be fair to Noel his attitude has been exemplary", Redfearn told the BBC.

"It's been a difficult time for him, but he's done it properly. Whenever he's played in the 21s or he's been out of the picture and he's worked with another group, he's been a good pro.

"But sometimes it just doesn't quite work out for whatever reason and you've got to move on. That's football. But it's not for a lack of effort.

"I think sometimes it just doesn't work out and I think both parties realise that and hopefully Noel will sort himself out somewhere else, and we've got to move on."

Hunt will now look to earn regular playing time at Portman Road under Mick McCarthy as he aims to relaunch a career which has stalled since he joined Leeds in 2013.
