Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini believes that a fully fit Nemanja Vidic will prove to be a dominating influence for the Nerazzurri.

The former Manchester United skipper was on the substitutes' bench on Mancini's return to the San Siro as Inter Milan manager.

Speaking about the veteran defender, the former Manchester City manager added that Vidic missed a couple of days of training because he was not fully fit.

Mancini however added that the 33-year-old is "ok now", in spite of having been kept out of the 20-man squad for the Europa League match against Dnipro tonight.

"He missed two days of training last week because he wasn't fully fit. He's ok now", Mancini said at a press conference.

The 49-year-old also took time to speak about his association with Vidic, adding that he has known him since his days in England, though it is different playing in Serie A than in the Premier League.

"I've known him since the two of us were in Manchester and I'm sure he'll be useful to us.

"It's quite normal to encounter difficulties coming here because Italian football is totally different to the Premier League."
