Jose Mourinho believes his league leading Chelsea side can still improve further over the course of the next few years.

Chelsea have made an unbeaten start to the season and are currently leading the Premier League table on 32 points.

The Blues are the leading scorers in the league with 30 goals and are runway favourites to win the title in May next year.

But in what will come as a frightening prospect for the other teams in England, the Chelsea manager has backed his team to get better in the future.

He added that his Chelsea side are still a young and hungry side and still have areas of the game that they can improve upon.

“Yes, I think so, I hope so [that we can improve]”, Mourinho said in a press conference.

“I am sure there is much more to come from this team.

“This is a young team, with young players. I have two more years of contract to work with them. They want to stay at the club, I want to stay at the club.

“And I believe we can still improve from here.”

Chelsea will take an away trip to second placed Southampton tomorrow.
