Celtic boss Ronny Deila has urged his side to make sure they win their Scottish Cup tie against Hearts on Sunday to set up an exciting second half of the season.

The Bhoys went down to a 3-1 defeat to Red Bull Salzburg last night, but still qualified for the last 32 of the Europa League after the group's other result went in their favour.

Now Deila has instantly switched his attention to locking horns with Hearts, a game he feels is sure to be extremely tough, but one he wants victory in.

"The game on Sunday is a cup game and if we can win that we will have an exciting spring", he told a press conference today.

"Hearts are a playing team and they like to pass the ball", Deila continued. "I like the way they play and the way they have developed their team.

"I expect them to play their own game and try to win the game.

"It will be as tough as going to any Premiership group."

And Deila rates Hearts as better than Celtic's rivals Rangers, which will make for an even tougher match.

"They are the best team in the Championship right now and have a lot of confidence.

"And they had a good game here", he added.
