Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn insists he is not spending time looking at the Championship table at present as he believes the team are making progress.

Redfearn was handed the senior reins earlier this season after Darko Milanic flopped at Elland Road. However, the Whites currently languish in 16th in the Championship table and have won just one of their last four games.

Redfearn though, who had a successful spell as caretaker boss earlier this term, is not spending time fixating on the league table.

"Not really, because it was that sort of scenario when I first came in", he told LUTV, when asked if he was looking at the league table.

"You were only talking about four games. We had a good run in the caretaker spell where we picked results up and got ourselves in half decent positions. It's proved it can be done.

"From my point of view we're eight games in, won four, drawn two, lost two, it's not bad.

"So we're going in the right direction", Redfearn added.

Leeds will bid to get back to winning ways tomorrow when they welcome Championship league leaders Derby County to Elland Road.

Redfearn's men won their last game at the ground, beating Blackpool 3-1 before the international break.
