Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane believes that his team cannot make any excuses for not winning against Everton on Sunday.

Both the Lilywhites and the Toffees were involved in Europa League action yesterday, with Tottenham winning 1-0 against Partizan Belgrade and Everton winning 2-0 against VfL Wolfsburg.

And as the two teams prepare to lock horns in the Premier League on Sunday, Kane insists that his team cannot complain of being fatigued, as both teams will have two days in between to prepare for the match.

Kane, whose team are currently placed tenth in the Premier League, having won five and lost five of their 12 matches, also feels that his team need to stop the slide in order to do well in the league.

"That is what we have got to look to change if we want to do well in the Premier League and hopefully we can start on Sunday", Kane told his club's official site.

"There is no excuse on Sunday because Everton played [on Thursday] night as well. It will be a good game."

The Lilywhites, like their Sunday's opponents, have now qualified for the last 32 stage of the Europa League after their win yesterday.
