Brazilian defender Juan Jesus believes Roberto Mancini has brought a calming influence to the Inter Milan squad after their win over FC Dnipro last night.

Their 2-1 win over the Ukrainian outfit has allowed Inter to secure top spot in Group F of the Europa League and the Nerazzurri have sealed their berth in the last 32 of the competition as group winners.

Mancini, who replaced the sacked Walter Mazzarri earlier this month, celebrated his 50th birthday last night and the defender said that the victory is a gift from the Inter squad for their manager.

"We celebrated because the gaffer deserves the best present possible”, Jesus told the club’s official site.

“Fortunately we managed to get the win for him today.”

When asked what the former Manchester City boss has brought to the club, Jesus remarked:"His experience.”

The defender also added that Mancini has brought a sense of calmness to a Inter squad that were struggling to find form earlier in the season.

“He's won so much in his career and he's had a calming effect on the squad."

Mancini will turn his attention towards the league as Inter take on second placed Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
