Galatasaray have entered the race to sign Liverpool and Arsenal target Andre-Pierre Gignac, who currently plies his trade at Marseille.

The forward has been in scintillating form this season and his eleven goals have played a crucial role in Marseille’s rise to the top of Ligue 1.

But his contract is set to expire next summer and the player himself admitted recently that he might leave the French outfit at the end of the season.

Arsenal and Liverpool have been keeping track of the striker’s exploits in France this season and are eager to bring him to England.

Roberto Mancini’s Inter are considered to be the favourites to land the Frenchman after Gignac professed his liking for Serie A yesterday.

But Mancini will face stiff competition from his former club Galatasaray, as the Turkish giants are ready to join the long line of clubs after Gignac’s signature, according to Marseille-based daily La Provence.

Galatasaray are keen to strengthen their attack in January after recently sacking manager Cesare Prandelli and are eyeing a deal for the French international striker.

It remains to be seen whether Gignac is ready for a move in January or continues with his form in France and waits until the summer.
