Leeds United midfielder Alex Mowatt believes the Whites should be aiming to push for a playoff spot in the Championship this season.

Neil Redfearn's men beat Championship leaders Derby County at Elland Road last weekend to send confidence and belief flowing through the squad.

And following a lacklustre start, Leeds are now dreaming of being involved in the race for promotion at the business end of the campaign.

"We should be pushing for top six and the playoffs", Mowatt explained to LUTV.

"We should be around that point, so hopefully we can kick on now after the win on Saturday", he added.

The young midfielder also explained that following the win over Derby confidence is sky high at the club.

"We just beat the top of the league so everyone is in a good place and everyone is happy.

"We've been playing good football, but just not getting the results and at the weekend we did both, played good football and got the result."
