Napoli are looking to sign Stoke City defensive midfielder Steven N'Zonzi during the winter transfer window, according to Sky Italia.

The Frenchman has become a vital player for the Potters since joining the club from Blackburn Rovers in 2012 and has popped onto the radar as a potential signing for Rafael Benitez's men.

N'Zonzi has thus far played in all 15 of Stoke’s Premier League fixtures this season, scoring once and providing an assist.

In addition, the 25-year-old has also featured in two of his side’s League Cup games in the current campaign, netting once.

In total N’Zonzi has amassed 95 appearances in all competitions for Stoke, and it remains to be seen whether manager Mark Hughes allows one of his most trusted charges to leave the Britannia Stadium next month.
