QPR boss Harry Redknapp has lauded Liverpool and Everton supporters for their footballing knowledge and believes it is the best in England.

The 67-year-old takes his QPR side to Goodison Park this coming Monday to lock horns with Roberto Martinez's men. QPR are due back on Merseyside following the Goodison visit on 2nd May, when they travel to play Liverpool at Anfield.




Redknapp always relishes travelling to Merseyside, believing that both Liverpool and Everton fans know their football.

"You find they understand the game, along with Liverpool supporters", Redknapp told a press conference, talking about the trip to Everton.

 


"Merseyside people, you find they understand the game.

"They are the most knowledgeable supporters in the country for me", he added.

And Redknapp, when asked if he views Goodison Park as one of English football's iconic grounds, replied: "I think so yes."

QPR currently sit just above the relegation zone in the Premier League in 17th spot, with 14 points from 15 games.

Everton, following a lacklustre start to the campaign, have just four more points than Redknapp's men.
