Atletico Madrid will only allow Italian winger Alessio Cerci to leave the Vicente Calderon next month if they can lay their hands on Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri.

Cerci, who has recently been linked with Arsenal, while Inter are also keen, joined Atletico Madrid earlier this year from Italian outfit Torino.

He has struggled to make his mark in Spanish football however and is now being linked with a quick exit.

But according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Los Rojiblancos are only prepared to part with Cerci if they can sign Shaqiri from Bayern Munich as his replacement.

Shaqiri, a long-time target for Liverpool, was prevented from leaving Bayern Munich in the summer, and claimed that a deal with the Reds was on the table.

He remains keen to move on due to a lack of playing time, while recently it was claimed coach Pep Guardiola is not a fan of his talents and believes he is struggling to adapt to his style at the Allianz Arena.
