AS Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim admits that Arsenal are the favourites for their round of 16 tie in the Champions League.

Monaco will visit the Emirates Stadium for the first leg of their last 16 tie in the Champions League in February next year, before hosting the Gunners a fortnight later.

Arsenal and Monaco have never faced each other in the Champions League and Wenger also managed the French outfit before he arrived in north London.

The Monaco coach admits that Arsenal are the favourites for their tie as they have experience of negotiating big matches, which his side lack at the moment.

“Arsenal are a very good team and are the favourites”, Jardim said via his club’s live feed.

“They are accustomed to playing in big matches so they are the obvious favourites.

“Anyway, we will try to do our best and win.”

Monaco conceded just one goal and kept five clean sheets in the group stage.
