Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma has warned his team against taking their League Cup quarter-final opponent Derby County lightly tonight.

The two teams lock horns at Derby's iPRo Stadium to battle for a place in the semi-final of the tournament.

Zouma, who played in the French version of the League Cup, believes that the task won't be easy in spite of the Rams being placed one division lower than the Pensioners.

Given their recent winning habit and their high league position, the Frenchman insists that his team will have their work cut out and will have to be strong to win the match against Derby tonight.

"It will be a very difficult game because they are very near the top of the Championship and they have been winning a lot of matches", Zouma told his club's official site.

"We will have to be strong like we were against Bolton and Shrewsbury. We want to keep winning."

The youngster also took time to talk about his progress at Stamford Bridge, stressing that he will have to be ready whenever he is given a chance by manager Jose Mourinho.

"Personally I’m feeling good; I’ve been playing quite a few minutes so I’m very happy.

"The coach told me that I need to keep working hard and I do this. Whenever he gives me a chance I have to be ready."
