Celtic hitman John Guidetti has praised the club's fans and their role in making football what it is for the players.

Guidetti joined Celtic on a season-long loan from Manchester City in the summer and wasted no time finding the back of the net on a regular basis, establishing himself as a firm fan favourite at Paradise.

And for Guidetti, it is all for the fans, who hold a special place in his heart.

Asked in a Magners Q&A what made joining Celtic easy, he replied: "For me it was the fans I think.

"I'm a passionate guy, maybe you've noticed. I like to get involved with the fans. I think they make football and without them football would be nothing.

"You can tell the difference in the pace of a game when a team have been punished for something so they play without fans. It's a totally different intensity in the game, it's a totally different atmosphere. Football is not the same", Guidetti continued.

"Football without fans is nothing and we should be so grateful to them."
