Arsene Wenger has delivered a squad fitness update ahead of Arsenal's trip to face Liverpool on Sunday.

Wenger, who has been wrestling with injuries throughout the season, is still unsure on whether Nacho Monreal and Theo Walcott will be available for selection against the Reds.

However, the Frenchman has cut a more optimistic figure over Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, though he will still require a test on Saturday.

"There’s a slight chance of Monreal being available and a very slight chance for Walcott", he told his club's site.

"We hope that Oxlade-Chamberlain will be fit. We’ll see that on Saturday."

Expanding on Walcott's progress, Wenger reported that the forward has returned to full training.

"He is back in training today. But only today. I might take him, I don’t know yet until he’s back to full training. Let’s see."

Oxlade-Chamberlain however is not yet back in training, the Arsenal boss remarking: "That’s what we’ll see on Saturday after a test. He’s not in training at the moment."

He also provided an update on goalkeeper David Ospina and midfielder Tomas Rosicky.

"Ospina is back in full training and Rosicky should be back next week."
