Zenit St. Petersburg manager Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that there is no bad blood between him and the fellow Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.

Villas-Boas worked as an assistant to Mourinho for five years, which included very successful stints at FC Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

Villas-Boas spoke out last year about a souring of relations with the current Chelsea manager as he went to pursue his own managerial ambitions.

On the prospect of sharing a drink with Mourinho in the future, he told the Portuguese television channel TVI: "If the opportunity arose again, why not? I get asked that question a lot, as if there were some animosity.”

“We spoke recently. There's mutual respect between us and we haven't forgotten the important moments we experienced", he further added.

The 37-year-old, who took over the reins of Zenit from Luciano Spalletti in March this year, created a record by winning the first six matches in charge of the Russians.

Zenit, who bowed out of the Champions League in the group stage are drawn to face PSV Eindhoven in the Europa League round of 32.
